Scrapbooking Top 50 - August Challenge

Such a bright fun challenge at Scrapbooking top 50:

Here is my page and some closeups - the inspiration is kinda obvious - I hope!

I created the background with texture paste, watercolours, washi tape and doodling. I inked some wood veneer triangles, and made them shiny with dimensional magic.

I also used a Charms Creations DIY Triangle... This has lots of layers to make it this shiny black!
I tried black mist (dylusions) and dimensional magic, but it just soaked in. So I added a layer of Mod Podge, then more black mist and then finally a last coat of Dimensional Magic. It looked good in the end!!!! So the tip: use mod podge to seal the DIY, before the glossy layer!

Plus some yellow Burdy chevies.

Thanks for looking today, a fab fun challenge!

"Love these girls", featuring a RS vellum bow.

"Photobomb", featuring a RS Vellum Bow.

Kraft plus.... Zentangle Doodling for August

A rather awesome challenge at Kraft Plus this month....

Say what? Honestly I had to google what Zentangle Doodling was..... Was a bit scary!!!

Anyway, with no idea where to start, I did this.....

Traced in a heart/love stencil (from Typo).

Then I just started doodling.... freehand. No plan. It took ages! By the time I had finished I had worked out how to finish the page, what the title would be, what photos I should use, what colours to add, etc. etc.

And this the finished page and some close ups...

You probably noticed the awesome CHARMS CREATIONS DIY heart in there... I used my watercolours to go for the OMBRE effect on it....

Scrap the Girls AUGUST

I LOVE being a part of the creative team at SCRAP the GIRLS...

This month was special... first we had this mood board to work with:

Next we had a fabulous pack of chipboard from 2Crafty to work with! (Amazing!!!)

Here is my page for this month's challenge and some close ups!

White cardstock base with some Dear Lizzy and My Minds Eye papers.
To make that pretty white and gold square - I used Bo Bunny gold glitter paste through a TCW Prima stencil (which was a gift from my awesome buddy Katie Howard!) - cool right????

But the winners on this page, are the chipboard... I inked the vine and some little hearts with navy blue Prima ink. I used gold embossing on the butterfly and word title. I even tried some of the gold glitter paste on some of the little chipboard hearts. Divine chipboard! Thank you 2Crafty!

You will also see another DIY Heart, from Charms Creations. I again used water and mists (Heidi Swapp mist this time), to colour both the heart and the muslin.
PS>>> DIY month at Charms too (Check it out HERE)

Some flowers and enamel dots from D'Lish to finish!!!

Join the challenge this month to win a prize from 2Crafty!
