New display for Scrapbooks ETC

I did this entire layout from start to finish while watching Masterchef last night.  Don't you love when papers and photos and colours work together so easily>???

I used the range of American Crafts - Dear Lizzy - 'Enchanted' range and this page will be on display on store at Scrapbooks Etc. for the next month!

Thanks for looking!

Amanda

ps. That imaginarium chipboard is gorgeous isn't it?

Kraft it Up!

GO to Kraft it Up!

This was a fun challenge to do! you needed to create a TIMELINE...
I chose these photos of Jessie jumping into the pool - she is so funny - just jumps right in! Love it!

Papers: Kraft (!!), Sassafras, MME and some old papers from my paper scraps of unknown origins!
Letters: Chip Chatter (with Azure smooch ink and dimensional magic, plus Fancy Pants (with Pool smooch ink)
Embellishments: dragged these old jigsaw puzzle pieces out of my stash and covered them, twine, Tim Holtz tape, Maya Road tickets, Charms Creations Blue Lollipops, LYB journal tag, Tattered Angels mist.

Enjoy, I have fun, even if it took days for the layers of smooch ink and dimensional magic to dry!

Week 4 Red EARTH road trip

Back on the road again... with Red Earth

Last night I went to TENNANT CREEK and had to create a layout and card inspired by earth tones and use spots/stripes (as inspired by Aboriginal art work).

Here's mine...
Papers: Lillybee Designs, Crate paper and WRMK
Letters: Jillibean Soup (spolit) and cosmo cricket
Embellishments: American Crafts ruffled ribbon, brads, MME stickers, LYB journal card, pin

Close up of the flowers - made easily with 4 punches - edges inked with Jumbo Java.  Then I dotted Smooch Ink (Gold Lame) around some of the edges.

Thanks for stopping by!

The RED EARTH ROAD TRIP continues...

Well I haven't got off the bus yet (ie. I have met all the challenges) and I'm having a lovely time on this Red Earth road trip!

Each week the girls have put together some great information about a town in Australia-  I'm even enjoying reading about places I've never been (i know I'm a nerd).  And the challenges are fun and the RED EARTH team are putting together GREAT example pages each week.

Last week we were in Sydney...
We had to create a family inspired layout, using blue (like the sydney harbour) and NO patterned paper. Susanne used a map (looked great) and that inspired me to create this layout....

Used my new Maya road zipper ribbon, Prima crotchet flower, Purple Pumpkin Owl button, Jillibean Soup corugated flowers, the apple fabric I have no idea where I got that!  All backed with trusty KRAFT and misting.  See the Australia Zoo Map I used! ha! No Patterned paper!

Then a celebration card, again using blue...

Well, not really sure about the card. I keep doing simple ones and keep thinking I should be adding layers and layers and stamping and fancy... definitely need some lessons to convert my scrapping style down in size to fit a card!

Head over to Red Earth and jump on our road trip! You can get on and off any time!
This week we are off to Tennant Creek and i can't wait to use those earth tones on a layout!

Thanks,
Amanda

Purple Pumpkin

Decided to use some of my Purple Pumpkin goodies to do their fun sketch challenge for this month.

Ok, the page ended up pretty bright, but I love how the PP buttons, doilies and twine work perfectly. I did the trick - cut out the inside of the doily to use - YAY!!!

Thanks again for the challenge!

Scrap the Girls!

I finally got a Scrap the Girls challenge done this month... Yay! It was a colour challenge - in all my fave scrap colours!

Pink, pink and pink - flowers and the Prima paper background!
Plus some MME and LYB paper.
Used silver glaze paint - which ended up looking quite white and lovely.  I added some tattered Angels Silver Glitter Glam to the painting and the flowers (oh so yummy and easy to use!).
Used last piece of my black zipper ribbon, Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket letters..

Now i threw this layout together based on the sketch I designed for Scrapbooks etc. (find us on Facebook "Scrapbooks ETC - Brisbane) this fortnight - This is the sketch rotated- such an easy way to come up with a new page easily!

Thanks for looking...

123 Challenge

Yes 123challenge... this is one of my favourite challenge blogs, every month the 3 ideas I need to use on my page inspire me to create - and let's face it - that's what its all about!

So for June.. here's what we needed:
1. Colour = brown
2. Word = Create
3. Technique = Misting/Masking

Here's my page....

Kraft background and NO patterned paper (what the????)

I used my new-ish (ie. bought months ago BUT never used!!!) Prima masks with my Smooch Spritz (log cabin of course!)

Also added: twine, stitching, ribbon, Tim Holtz masking tape, Purple Pumpkin button, Prima flowers, brads, Thickers and MME letters, studio Calico journal spot.. That dash of yellow might be a bit out there, but I'm loving it...

PLUS reminds me how excited and inspired I was at CHA this year...

Thanks for looking!

Red Earth Road Trip

Had fun last night travelling to Cowra (figuratively of course), for the Red Earth road trip.  Challenges to complete for the next 12 weeks and lots of fun on the way around Australia! Great idea and the Red Earth forum is a really fun place to stop by at.

This week in Cowra we had to create a layout using the word "Peace" (like their Peace Bell)... And include the special BONUS item that came in the Road Trip kit! Each week we have to guess the item and include it on the layout - Can't tell you what it is though.  Here's my layout:

One piece of basic grey paper, then I used Hambley transperancy.  Sassafras paper strip plus stickers. Studio Calico journal spot. Yummy Prima flower. Dusty Attic Twig. 7 Gypsy photo turns. Twine. Plus one gorgeous photo of my girl jessie..

The card challenge (is there going to be a card challenge every week!!???  Not sure I can do that!)- anyway we had to use origami (in recognition of the Japanese influences in Cowra)... I tried to fold a paper flower following a website and it kinda worked out! here it is...

Used: new Making memories dilly dally papers... and love my new martha scallop punch! Prima leaf and thickers.

Thanks for looking! Head over to Red Earth if you want to join in.
