Sassy Sketch....

Lost the last few days... a ball, a party and work...

But it was worth the wait to see my sketch this month! Ha!

Go to http://sassylilsketches.blogspot.com/

Here's the sketch:
 And my layout...
I used masks and mist and stitching and masking tape to create the background, instead of paper strips - wanted to do something different!
Used new We R Memory keepers - Retro Glam papers - which had some great pattern, which I used to handcut the flowers out of.

Thanks for stopping by,
Amanda

123 Challenge

Also did this layout last night - for 123 Challenge - which I should say... my lime green page of Dave won last month at this challenge website! :)

This month the challenge is:
1. RED
2. The word "FUN"
3. Handstitched title

Here is my page of Jessie at the park...

I used my new FANCY PANTS paper dollie and new MAYA ROAD zipper ribbon.. plus check out those Purple Pumpkin embellishments (crotchet flower, yoyo flower and spotty button)
I handstitched on the title - not sure if that was exactly right for the challenge, but love the result!

Thanks for looking!

Get Picky Sketch Challenge

Here's what I did in my scrap session last night... ooooo love it!!!!!!!

Get Picky has great inspiration and ideas for pages with lots of photos - something we all need more help with! I love the weight and balance of the sketch and really enjoyed the challenge.

Photos from Santa Monica, from January trip to LA for CHA... slowly getting thru all my photos from the trip!

Check out: New Sassafras (background) and glitz design (blue) papers; new ribbon and twine (maya road), Tim Holtz tape (love it!) and my usual bits and pieces!  The canvas scalloped circles I have had in my stash for ages!

Thanks for looking, please leave me a comment!

Purple Pumpkin Sketch Challenge

OK... so new favourite things are these great hand-made embellishments from Purple Pumpkin and this month, with my new stuff in hand, I've done their sketch challenge.  Great sketch and I love the page I created!

here it is.....

White cardstock background, with Black Glitz design on top.  Used some Prima, more Glitz and Fancy Pants for the panels.  Twiddlybits chipbopard (which i inked and smooched!) plus prima flowers, my minds eye brads, bling, etc. BUT... looked at those lovely Purple Pumpkin bits - black crotchet flower, green twine, spotty button and bird button.  Love it!

Thanks!

Scrapping with Moira

Here are some of the layouts I created when I went out to Warwick and spent the weekend with the wonderful Moira and her husband Matthew.  It was an awesome weekend - just so quiet and peaceful and so easy to sit in Moira's lovely scrap space and create and chat.  What more could you want? Well.... we also got to watch the masterchef opening night together which was just hiliarious.

Enjoy...

Yum... my minds eye (actually I think i did this the week before-no matter)

Lots of photos used!

Yay! Old pink paislee with Nice new crate paper.

Yes... heaven....

Awwww. wee cousins!

Old photos have to be scrapped - simple layout, but done!

Yay - did the cardboard swiped paint background!

Painted edges with new smooch inks! This is of my top facebook status' 2010 - sad but true!

Love crate paper - plus that My Minds eye orange is the BEST!

ooo - more smooch used on letters and rainbow.

That will do! Thanks! Amanda

Get Picky

Another great challenge blog I've been wanting to have a go at... Get picky.... layout ideas for multiple photos - great for me who loves doubles and using lots of photos!

This months inspiration challenge was a photo and colour combo - yellow, aqua and white. Yum! Easy!

Here's mine!

Gotta be in it to win it! Oh I love those new crotchet flowers from Purple Pumpkin!

Thanks, Amanda

Kraft it Up

Quietly stalking KIU challenge blog for months, finally cracked on and did a layout for this months challenge- which was to use NO patterned paper - ha- easier said than done!

Stamped circles (Thanks Moira for the "Stampin Up" goodness), which I cut and machine stitched.  Lots of pretty bits and it's done.  I did use my new favourite smooch inks to paint the white basic grey stickers into that beautiful pink.

So I had a go... enjoy!

Thanks for looking,....
