WORDLE - my hero....

Have you used WORDLE?

Enter in words and make one of these...

I then used the general position of each word to create this layout...

SO EASY - and let's face it, I have enough letter stickers in my stash to use this many on ONE layout!
And love that PRIMA paper.

Moonsketch last week

Here is the sketch I created for our create-a-weekend down at scrapbooksetc

Here's the sketch...

And my TAKE on it...

Also, this week we got in SMOOCH inks...

If you look closely at my layout, you will see I smooched the letter stickers AND after sticking all the embellishments on the corner, I painted smooch over them all to tie all the colours together.

See you!

Been Creating

Hello everyone...

Well we had a fantastic weekend of inspiration and creativeness, so now here's my chance to post my work from the weekend.  NOT everything flowed - some layouts are still annoying me - What do YOU do about that?

Anyway here they all are. I managed to complete a lot over the weekend and I hope you find some inspiration here:

So 17 layouts - not bad for a weekend - also filled with eating and talking!

See you soon!

Sassy Lil Sketches

Head on over to sassylilsketches for the March 28th Sketch Reveal.

I happily design for this cool American Sketch blog and each month on the 28th, my sketch is released, along with a few others, to inspire you all.

Here's what this months sketch looks like:

I replaced the centre 2 photos with one horizontal photo and added my usual gatherings of embellishments!
Here's mine:

Enjoy, thanks for stopping by...

Do you ever get to go away for a crop session with the girls? Or have a few hours uninteruppted to scrap?

How do you spend that time? Do you get layouts started and completed? Or do you procrastinate and spend most of the time picking papers, finding embellishments and thinking about layouts and titles?

Next weekend I go on my bi-annual Create-a-weekend - 20 hours of scrapping at scrapbooksetc
On average - I usually complete between 15 and 20 layouts in this weekend.  Hence why I am sometimes called a power scrapper.

Well let me share my secrets with you.

Here's what I am doing this weekend to get ready for next weekend.

1. Sorting my stash - colour coding, embellishment sorting, every thing out of packets - taking stock of what I have, so I can find it in a jiffy.

Alphabet stickers

Thickers - colours bundled together

Other embellishments

cardstock and chipboard

More embellishments

Brads and things

2. Sort all photos into envelopes - photos picked ready for layouts

3. Get out all my papers, including all those scraps (which are also stored into colour coded bags). This photo is of my scraps - I sit on the X ('x' marks the spot!) where I can see and reach all my papers.

4. Choose an envelope of photos and start picking papers.

I will pick some full sheets for the page, plus some scraps from my scrap stash that match

5. Then I'll roughly lay it out - draw a simple sketch if I can and think of some title and journal ideas

6. Put in a pile and REPEAT

8. REPEAT until you have this big stack (had to go to bed at midnight to get this all done!!)

9. Transfer each set of papers and photos into a "Work in progress" album..

10. At the crop - pick a set (the one that inspires you on the day) and start scrapping.

Sometimes (time permitting) I have also chosen letters and embellishments to go with each set too. Not for this weekend though, because I'm taking everything to the crop and know how to find things quickly (cos it's all organised).Cool!

Hope you have enjoy seeing how I do it - share your ideas with me too!

So now I cannot wait until next weekend - I hope to share the finished projects soon!

Red Earth Cyber crop

Sharing the projects I've made this weekend for the Cyber crop over at Red Earth Scrapbooking

Linda's challenge was to scrap a photo of a person who inspires you - I expanded it and scrapped about my inspiring network of friends on facebook...

Suzanne's challenge required you to use an inspiring person's name in the title.  Miss Laura was who I scrapped about (Liv's Montessori teacher from last year). Plus you had to make a card with the leftovers.

There's one more scrap challenge - to scrap a photo of myself - well - that's easy! I love scrapping myself! Working on it later.

There are some fun photography challenges too - not that I'm any good at that.. But gotta have a go!

Head over there - challenge runs until Wednesday.

Thanks for stopping by!

Seems so funny... I just was flicking thru my latest edition of Scrapbooking Memories and... I found a layout of mine published in it... Vol 13 No 4 - page 95.  Special on Masking.

I always get SO excited about being published and I cannot believe that I forgot this month!

There is quite a buzz about seeing your work in print for the world to see!

:) big happy smile

I have been lucky enough to have the fun of running a sketch challenge each Friday forthnight during our 6-12 Moonlighting Scrap night at scrapbooks etc, I call it MOONSKETCH.

I design a sketch and layout and everyone does their version of it on the night. If they can get it done by 10:30 (!!!!), then they can enter it to be judged by everyone, with the winner collecting a cool prize of scrap stuff.

Here are the moonsketch from Friday 11th March...
I liked this one, because I was able to easily create 2 layouts by rotating the sketch - gee I felt clever!

My sketch

Layout 1 with vertical photo (sorry not the best photo of the layout)

Layout 2 - using a horizontal photo.

Fun fun fun.... Now I'm working on my sketch design for our bi-annual Create-a-weekend in 2 weeks time.

Bye for today!

123 Challenge

Another challenge done this week, this time for 123challenge

Challege blogs are a great way to find your mojo and make a start at a page...

This month we had to:

the colour light/medium blue and

I used the Doilie as a mask and then hand stitched the edge.  add ribbons and brads and flowers and it's done.  "My gift 2 you", signifiies that my middle daughter inherited both my red hair and my confidence - we are alike in many ways!

Thanks again - busy posting day.....
