Scrap the Boys - August 2016

Okay.............. let's get real..... this is all a challenge for me.... but I always love a good challenge!

I am one of the newest team members for Scrap the Boys! What a great excuse to scrapbook the boys/men in my life?!

And this month is my first official page!

This months challenge::

I took a slightly different slant on the challenge, as it was Nana that was NOT HAPPY, not the boys!

Here is my page and some close ups:

I love that I can document favourite family stories like this one, through scrapbooking!

Close up of some awesome Charms Creations.

My background created with black texture paste, water colours (orange), white house paint and black stamping......
Anyway, happy to share this page and happy to be a part of the STB team. No unhappiness here...
Thanks for looking,

Here is my page for WW1 AUGUST

Sometimes all you need is a perfectly matched piece of paper.....

..... and some clusters of magenta and white flowers!

Show Us Your Stuff - AUGUST 2016

Another new challenge at SUYS for August....

I suppose whether a patterned paper is ugly or not is pretty subjective, but in a recent survey at the Scrap and Chat retreat in Melbourne, this paper was unanimously voted as ugly. I tried to offload it to Sue Plumb to use, but she refused, so I accepted the challenge!

So here is my page and some close ups:
Nothing like covering ugly paper with some white gesso and texture paste! I used painted the page using the new Colour Blast Mica Powders mixed with water (makes it look shimmery and shiny in real life!). Additional detail was added with some stamping.

In the close ups you will see the amazing handmade details from some great Aussie companies:
Charms Creations: Music paper arrow
Funky Flairs Studio: Black and white flairs
Burdy Embellies: Cool cogs
Rainbow Splendour: Epoxy flair
Corbett Creations: Wood veneer circle from D-lish Scraps
I think I turned something ugly into something beautiful!
Thanks for looking.

Scrap the Girls - August 2016

Check out this beautiful mood board for Scrap the girls.... all my fave colours here....

Here is my page and some close ups:
Seems cool to share this page of a photo of me and cool scrapping friend, Sue Plumb!

This page started with the Kaisercraft Mandela stencil I got from Scrapbooking Delights. I used an archival, no run pen, to trace the stencil to the page. Then I use simple watercolour paints to colour the mandela shapes. A small spray of Colour Blast colour sprays and I was ready to embellish!

Charms Creations: Hessian heart, as well as a DIY flag and tab (which I coloured blue with watercolours)

Finished with a few flowers and bits from D-lish.... and I was super happy with this layout!

D-lish Scraps pages for July

Hi everyone,

This month, both myself and my daughters have been inspired by the awesome challenges at The Scrap Suite. My 3 daughters love to have a go at the challenges, so I thought I may as well share their pages as well as mine!!!

So today's pages are for Challenge # 1, set by Emma - using White Space.

Firstly, here is my page and some close ups:

I create this page with components of the Just Add Paper kit - Sweet and Sassy.
I also used a Dusty Attic stencil with texture paste and a few platters of paint to add some detail to the background.

To find some of these products in store, please follow these links below:
And now here is my daughter, Abby's (13 years old)  page:

Abby kept her page simple, and used Paper roses and D-lish Dots.
This time we tackled Mandy's Sketch:

Here is my page and some close-ups:

Again I used many elements from the Just Add Paper kit, including that gorgeous shiny gold washi tape!. I used patterned paper from Cocoa Vanilla Studio, which I hand-painted the stars using watercolour paint.

I created the page with the following D-lish elements, please click below for the links in store:
And here is Jessie's page - she is just 8 years old, and kinda likes random painting.....

The D-lish goodies Jessie used:
D-lish flair

This time my daughter, Olivia and I were really inspired by Sue's circle challenge in The Scrap Suite. Sharing both our pages in this post!

Firstly, here is my page and some close ups:

I created circular elements with a Dusty Attic (Glass Stains) stencil and texture paste,  my favourite stitched stamps from Indigo Blu (which I painted with watercolour paint), and some paper punched, and diecut. My little sticker features for the speech bubble!

The awesome D-lish products used on this page, can be found in store via the links below:
And here is Olivia's page. She is 10 years old and doesn't like sticking things straight, which may or may not drive her Mum slightly crazy!

D-lish products Olivia used include:
